Goodland

Built on a 40 acre shellmound left by the Calusa Indians in the 1800’s; Goodland is a tiny town on the southeast corner of Naples, FLA. Once isolated, State Road 92 connected Goodland to the mainland, established in 1938 using shells from the Calusa mountains. Today it is a fishing community of around 200 permanent residents. Stan's Idle Hour Seafood Restaurant is a destination hot spot for dining and music on the weekends, when hundreds of visitors flock to enjoy the natural surrounds, fishing and boating.


Hammock Bay

Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club is located between Marco Island and Naples on the Southwest Coast of Florida, offering attached homes and 750 condos in high and low-rise buildings and villas and a resort, country club lifestyle. Isles of Capri

In the 1950’s, 4 mangrove islands were connected to form Isles of Capri. Located between the Marco River, Tarpon Bay and Johnson Bay, with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, it is accessed off Route 951 between Marco Island and Naples, Florida. The island community, surrounded by water, features in the vicinity of 500 modest homes with approximately 600 year-round visitors and 4 lovely condominium complexes on quiet streets. Capri Paddlecraft Park is along the entrance road to the Isles on Capri Blvd., where kayaks and other paddlecraft launch. A few select favorite restaurants are on the island, all on the water and attract visitors daily.


Key Marco

Southeast of the mainland of Marco Island is Key Marco, an island that is reached by bridge where an exclusive gated and guarded enclave of 134 home sites of homes no less than 3000SF are situated. Each have a boat slip at the private Marina and are governed by a Community Association (HOA). Amenities include a fitness center, community center with kitchen and event space, tennis courts and rentals are prohibited. Conveniently located only 7 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from Naples. Key Marco has an impressive history of Native Americans who left an archaeological shell mound and prehistoric artifacts uncovered in 1990’s, dating back 6000 years, that are some of the greatest found in North America. Settled by Captain John T. Horr (1843-1926) it was once a Pineapple plantation and sold in 1923 for $10,000. Navigational charts still refer to Key Marco as ‘Horr’s Island’ and a pineapple symbol welcomes you to the island. You must be accompanied by a Realtor to view homes on Key Marco.


Lely Resort

Lely Resort is a neighborhood of about 5.5 square miles in southwest Naples located between HWY 41 and I-75 of approx. 5000+ residents. Lely Resort, a master planned golfing community of the same name, covers 2900 acres of lakes with Championship Golf Clubs offering 36 holes of golf, membership required “The Players Club” which offers lagoon style pools, olympic and baby pools, dining room, grill, tiki bar, sports bar, card room, computer room and more for the communities of Lely Barefoot Beach, Lely Golf Estates, Lely Country Club, Treviso Bay and Lely Resort. “Lely” as it is called, is also comprised of other living communities like Verona Walk (a popular destination for those moving off Marco Island), several luxury apartment complexes, Florida South/Western State College campus, South Regional library, and Lely Elementary School with grocery stores, Lowes, 2 Walmart Super Centers and convenient shopping and dining nearby.


Old Marco

From Collier Blvd., head North on Bald Eagle Drive to enter what is known as Olde Marco, an Historic District on the original barrier island community of Marco Island. In 1870 Old Marco Village was formed first by William Thomas (W.T.) Collier and later, his son who further developed the island to the South at Caxambas. Here you will find homes with water direct lots and waterfront condos whose residents feel a fierce pride of ownership for owning homes in this neighborhood. While not specifically a tourist attraction, it is historical none-the-less and features a small collection of shops and restaurants including: The Snook Inn; an outdoor grill and eatery that features music on the weekends, an art gallery, Bistro Soleil, a charming French Restaurant with outdoor seating; a salon, gift shop, fish market, health center and most notably the Old Marco Inn, said to be the oldest building in SW Florida housed in the original 1883 Inn (and it’s subsequent additions), established by Marco Island founder, William Thomas Collier who would tell visitors, "dollar-a-day, bring your own meat".


South Seas

South Seas is a community all in it’s own. The Gated Beachfront Condo Village offers 4 Condo Towers, each of 215 units and includes mid-rise garden units along Clam Bay which feature 134 boat slips for rent. Some of the buildings have relaxed rental restrictions while others do not. With amenities like heated pools, social rooms, fitness center, tennis courts, pickleball courts and bocce ball, fun is at your fingertips. Wonderfully loacated at the North end of the crescent beach you have access to the white sands of Marco Beach and popular Tigertail Beach nearby. The Estates Section

In the Southeast section of Marco Island is a neighborhood known as “The Estates”, that consists of primarily luxury homes and buildable lots. Many are located on the waterfront with direct and sometimes indirect access to Caxambas Pass and many feature deep water dockage to accommodate larger boats and yachts. The lots are larger than elsewhere on the Island and many include stunning views of Roberts Bay and Caxambas Pass. You will find mostly palatial homes in the multi-million dollar range.

The River

About River Area:

In the Northeast of Marco Island is a neighborhood known for it’s water-direct homes and larger homes with no bridges to navigate to access open water by boat. Also a short trip to Naples (around 20 minutes) by boat make this a wonderful area for those seeking detached homes beginning in the $1,000,000’s and condo’s starting in the mid $300,000’s. Marco Island Country Club is located in the River Area which gives those who join the fantastic amenities of membership.


Marco South

At the southern end of Marco Island is a quiet and low-key boaters paradise. With no bridges to contend with; reaching the 10,000 Islands for back water fishing is a snap and the Gulf of Mexico is “water direct”, meaning that there are no bridges to navigate which allows for boats of all sizes and heights, plus, while there are no Marina’s per say, you can gas-up at Caxambas Boat Landing. You will find many luxury homes on large lots and a few condos, on the water and inland, in this neighborhood. For privacy and the ultimate boaters experience, Marco South is the choice. The beach is nearby, just a short walk, which makes this a joggers and walking neighborhood. In close proximity is the major shopping corridor of S. Collier Blvd, where you will find the ever popular Marco Walk Center for convenient shops and an array of restaurants, from steak to crab to nachos.


Tigertail Beach

The northern most Beach on the 4 mile crescent is Tigertail Beach - which is effectively a Beach park with public parking, a lagoon, boardwalks to the beach and it borders an ecological reserve. The neighborhood along the beach is also called Tigertail and owning a home here means the beach is close by. This is a relaxed beachy neighborhood and one of the only that offers home within proximity to the beach. There are waterfront properties that border the mangroves with both direct and indirect access to the Gulf of Mexico - so be sure to check. Amenities like the Esplanade Shopping Center and the hub of centers along N. Collier Blvd are nearby. Largely overlooked by tourists and devoid of condos, Tigertail is very quiet and relaxed.
